  1. 01

    Share the context

Tell us where you are based, what exists in Kenya and the decision or deadline in front of you.

You do not need to organise everything first.
  2. 02

    Verify the record

We identify the documents, searches and Kenyan procedure needed before anyone commits funds or authority.

This is where preventable surprises are found.
  3. 03

    Agree the scope

You receive a written scope, fee and delivery path before substantive legal work begins.

No substantive work starts before you see the plan.
  4. 04

    Execute with updates

Work moves through a structured remote workflow, with clear updates and physical attendance only where required.

You are kept informed without chasing for updates.

A first conversation clarifies fit and scope. It does not create an advocate-client relationship until the engagement is confirmed in writing.

Practical questions from abroad.

The questions every Kenyan abroad asks before they trust a lawyer with their land or estate.

Can the work be handled while I remain abroad?

Much of the initial scoping, document review, verification and client communication can be handled remotely. We will identify any step that legally or practically requires physical attendance before the engagement begins.

How should I share identity and property documents?

Begin with copies through the secure channel agreed with the firm. Do not send originals or sensitive identity records to an unverified agent, relative or public link.

Will I know the fee before work starts?

Yes. After scoping the facts and urgency, the firm confirms the work, exclusions, professional fee and likely disbursements in writing before substantive work begins.

How do you verify Kenyan property?

The checks depend on the property, registry and transaction. They commonly include ownership and register checks, restrictions or charges, survey and occupation issues, rates or rent, consents and the seller’s legal capacity.

Can a power of attorney solve everything remotely?

No. A power of attorney is a specific authority document, not a substitute for due diligence or legal advice. Its form, execution, registration and limits should be confirmed for the intended task before it is used.

Do I need a will, a trust or a succession application?

That depends on whether you are planning ahead or administering an existing estate, how the assets are held and the family circumstances. The first step is a complete asset and ownership record, followed by tailored advice.

How quickly will the firm respond?

The team aims to acknowledge a complete enquiry within one business day and will then confirm the information needed to scope the work properly.
